Julie Kagawa- The Eternity Cure review.

"I was a monster who killed and preyed on human life; I could never escape that, but at least I could choose what kind of lives I took."
This is the 2nd book of the trilogy by Julie Kagawa. Seeing as how much I enjoyed and cried about the first book I didn't think that it could get any better/ more upsetting than the first one but I was wrong it definitely topped it by a mile.

From Allie Sekemoto finding out that the evil vampire Jackal was her blood brother and other interesting revelations she set out to find her sire Kanin to help him escape from the likes of Sarren a twisted and beyond evil vampire who wanted to see the end of Kanin and his offspring.
This book again was really well written and easy to follow but also  kept you on your toes throughout the whole book.
After leaving Zeke in Eden Allie was once again alone looking for Kanin that was until she bumped into a familiar face who agreed to go with her to find her sire and to help find and stop Sarren from releasing  a deadly disease.
This lead Allison back to where it all began New Covington, only to discover that Sarren had released the disease to the people of New Covington turning them into zombie like people 'bleeders', the 'bleeders' threatened the existence of all human beings and could lead to extinction for all vampires. The second book shows more of Allisons human side in the way she cares more and more but the vampire inside her also begins to roar more because of the anger built up inside her which I think is good because it makes her overall character more interesting to read about.

Throughout the book Allie is left with more and more heartbreak loosing the people she most cares about, meeting familiar faces and new faces.  Sarren then pushes it too far and kills someone she cares for very much pushing her off the edge sending her into a rage and loosing her human self with the monster within. The book ends on a cliff hanger and in a bad state meaning a big excitement for the next and final book which wont be out for a while which is really upsetting for me because I desperately want to know what happens but if the 2nd one was better than the first I cant wait for the 3rd one.
