Julie Kagawa- The Eternity Cure review.

"I was a monster who killed and preyed on human life; I could never escape that, but at least I could choose what kind of lives I took."
This is the 2nd book of the trilogy by Julie Kagawa. Seeing as how much I enjoyed and cried about the first book I didn't think that it could get any better/ more upsetting than the first one but I was wrong it definitely topped it by a mile.

From Allie Sekemoto finding out that the evil vampire Jackal was her blood brother and other interesting revelations she set out to find her sire Kanin to help him escape from the likes of Sarren a twisted and beyond evil vampire who wanted to see the end of Kanin and his offspring.
This book again was really well written and easy to follow but also  kept you on your toes throughout the whole book.
After leaving Zeke in Eden Allie was once again alone looking for Kanin that was until she bumped into a familiar face who agreed to go with her to find her sire and to help find and stop Sarren from releasing  a deadly disease.
This lead Allison back to where it all began New Covington, only to discover that Sarren had released the disease to the people of New Covington turning them into zombie like people 'bleeders', the 'bleeders' threatened the existence of all human beings and could lead to extinction for all vampires. The second book shows more of Allisons human side in the way she cares more and more but the vampire inside her also begins to roar more because of the anger built up inside her which I think is good because it makes her overall character more interesting to read about.

Throughout the book Allie is left with more and more heartbreak loosing the people she most cares about, meeting familiar faces and new faces.  Sarren then pushes it too far and kills someone she cares for very much pushing her off the edge sending her into a rage and loosing her human self with the monster within. The book ends on a cliff hanger and in a bad state meaning a big excitement for the next and final book which wont be out for a while which is really upsetting for me because I desperately want to know what happens but if the 2nd one was better than the first I cant wait for the 3rd one.

Julie Kagawa- The immortal rules review.

"Sometime in your life, Allie Sekemoto, you will kill a human being."
I have only read a couple of vampire books and "The Immortal Rules" is by far the best , I really like reading about vampires because of the danger and adventure involved in the book and to be honest you cant go wrong with a book that involves vampires. I was influenced to buy this because it said that Hunger Games fan would enjoy it and they were right.

The story is based around the character Allie/Allison Sekemoto a simple Unregistered 17 year old girl fighting for survival against starvation, disease and most of all the vampires. The book is based in the future where people know the existence of vampires and they rule the humans,Allie was an Unregistered human meaning she could keep her blood and her distance from the vampires but had to struggle to keep her and her gang alive. The story really kicks in when Allie and her gang of Stick,Rat and Lucas venture out beyond the wall where the rapids rome freely (the hungry, crazed animals that have a mind of there own). This is where Allison's Sekemoto's adventure begins from her saving her friend Sticks live and almost dying from the rabids until a vampire named Kanin gave her a choice to become a vampire, he then taught her the ways of a vampire. The way Julie Kagawa expressed in such detail about Allie's training it made the book that much more interesting. Further into the book her mentor gets kidnapped by an evil vampire named Sarren. Allison is then left alone again to venture into the world without anybody to help.

She isn't alone for long because she runs into a group of people who are wondering the world to find a vampire and rabid free island called Eden. I personally think this is when the real story begins but also changes because of how it seemed like an action and adventure book which it is but I also think it turns into a love story when Allison meets Zeke Crosse the son of Jeb the man who is leading them to Eden. I begin to admire Allie's strength a lot more in different ways because of how she knows not to help this group because it could end in disaster but she cares too much for them too leave, and the way she cares for Zeke is really interesting to read about because of her mentor Kanin telling her vampires are monsters.
The book continues with kidnapping, murders and betrayal you also learn the true meaning of why Jeb is being hunted and the truth about Eden. But I loved reading about how Allie and Zeke's relationship grows throughout the book even when he finds out what she is.

I finished this book in a couple days it wasn't text heavy but was still very detailed and interesting to read and anyone with similar interests in books to me would really love to read it. The next blog post is on the 2nd book of the trilogy The eternity cure.

Nails.

Haven't made a blog post in quite some time, so this is why I'm doing a rather big one and that's why there is a picture of my Halloween nails, I decided this year to actually do Halloween nails so I was inspired by cute polish on YouTube she did a tutorial with these nails and they were great the nails are inspired by Jack off the nightmare before Christmas which is an amazing film not gonna lie so I did these they didn't last long though I'm quite fussy with my nails which is why I have done this because this past week I have changed my nails 3 times oops.
The purple nails below are the first nails I had which I did on Sunday I think I used a purple rimmel nail varnish this is probably my favourite nail colour I really like ice cream colours so it was really nice I then used a models own sparkly one which I used to put on top of my purple nails which was like a French manicure but a lot bigger I did the sparkle by using a make up sponge I always use this nail art its really easy and pretty.

The image above is the colour of my nails I have at the moment I decided I need to calm down with the bright colours seeing as its winter now so I bought this new nail varnish from Sainsburys;) its by maybeline its such a nice winter colour and goes with everything its my new favourite I think its so lovely and because I'm a brunette it goes well with my hair and skin tone. My friends Lizzie and Alex then went into Wetherby in school and went to superdrug and came back with this new nail varnish which takes the shine away from your nails and makes them matte it is honestly amazing they dry really quick and they look so nice, the nail varnish was from Rimmel I think it was £4.69 and I think it makes the colour of your nails more noticeable I'm in love with it and its so clever and oh god its great it makes your nails feel really soft too which I like. I think in my new post I'm going to be talking about CJG shoes which are incredible.
You should really get this nail varnish I think its a must have.! Grace x

Big Shopping haul

I have a slight obsession with this whole moustache fashion thing I have like 2-3 tops and my brother bought me a pencil with a bright pink moustache on it so when I saw this ring in Topman which I thought was a bit wierd cause its kind of girly I picked it up straight away, then the earrings were the first thing that I got in Topshop I absolutely adore them I thought they were really retro and interesting, then collar necklace is from MissSelfridge I bought this not long ago for a party I was going at and I wont take it off now I love it.
Peplum clothes are the new must have so I wanted to get a bright pink top for a party I was going I think there really pretty and really good for any body type because it hides your tummy, I went on Amazon and got my first ever purchase which were these wedges which I think were like £12,99 got rather giddy when I saw how much they were, when I ordered them didn't they would be that high but there are so nice and rather comfy I haven't had an opportunity to wear them yet but I will at some point.

This coat is actually my mums and we bought it on our little shop this coat is from Warehouse and I absolutely adore it and if my mum hadn't got it I would have got it myself but I'm going to steal it anyway, its such a nice winter coat which I do not have, I also like the leather sleeves because its different.
The bobble hat is from Topshop of course my sister has a dark green one and I kept nicking it so I thought I better get my own because she was getting annoyed:') but it is honestly so cosy and good for winter too, I never really wear hats but I cant help but wear this all the time.
Christmas Jumpers, exciting, both of these jumpers are from Topman I always think that Topman do really girly knitwear so I didn't bother looking in the women's section because I knew I would find something in the mens section both of these jumpers are so lovely and I am definitely wearing one of these for Christmas day I think that I might start wearing them more near Christmas as I feel like a bit of an eager beaver wearing a Christmas jumper in October... but I love the patterns on them and the colouring on them, there very festive and cosy and nice so I will definitely be blogging about these jumpers.

The new topshop in Leeds opened not long ago it is absolutely huge but I really like it not everyone is a fan because of the size of it so me and my mum decided to go on a big shopping day and we literally shopped till we dropped we got very excited and was in there for honestly an hour tops I was in heaven it such a good place to shop so I thought you would like to see what I got... Not everything is from topshop but most of it is.
